Career change and transition

Career change and transition

Career change can be challenging, whether it has been chosen or imposed. You may have been made redundant and need to work out your next move, or you may be considering a shift into a different role, field, or way of working and feel unsure how to approach it.

Career change and transition coaching focuses on supporting you through this period of movement and uncertainty, helping you make decisions that are both practical and well considered. The work is grounded in the realities of change, including the emotional impact of loss, disruption or pressure, alongside the need to take action.

We work with people who are actively navigating career transition, including redundancy, career change, or returning to the workforce after time away. This may involve clarifying direction where options feel overwhelming, identifying roles or paths that are realistic and aligned, and preparing for the steps involved in securing a new position.

Our approach combines reflective, psychologically informed coaching with practical support. We work with you to identify and leverage your strengths, understand patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop strategies that support both decision-making and follow-through. Where relevant, this can include support with job search strategy, positioning and transition planning.

Career change often involves balancing the need to move forward with the need to process what is ending. By attending to both, decisions are more likely to feel grounded and sustainable, rather than rushed and reactive.

Coaching sessions are available in-person in Caulfield South (Melbourne, Victoria) and online via Zoom.
